So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Useful Information About The Aerospace Company Honeywell Avionics

By Krystal Branch

Honeywell avionics is a large aircraft manufacturing company based out of Phoenix, Arizona in the United States. The company has been in existence for several decades now. It was originally founded by John Garrett as the Garrett Corporation. Its purpose was to develop technology and equipment that could be used to make aircrafts stronger, faster and more efficient.

The company has a long history in the aviation business. They had a great boom during the Second World War, equipping bomber planes with certain avionics parts. They also invented the auto-pilot system during this time. This autopilot technology was originally kept a secret until 1943, when German forces began salvaging downed bomber planes. When the war ended the company began to focus on creating peacetime equipment. Today, they produce space equipment, auxiliary power units and turbine engines, among other things.

The company eventually turned its attention to commercial avionics. In 1958, they developed one of their earliest technologies, the ring laser gyroscope. They also developed the laser inertial navigation system, which helps to navigate planes. The flight control systems they designed helps to measure the altitude, position and velocity of an aircraft.

The first product the company invented was an aluminum aircraft intercooler. This was used to help Boeing aircraft bombers achieve greater altitude abilities. In 1942, the company also created its own Defense Plant Corporation. The company later developed pressurization technology to be used in pressurized cabins of aircraft bomber planes as well as air expansion turbines.

When the Second World War began many turbochargers were manually controlled and used mechanical energy to force air from the engine into the intake manifold. Today most chargers are exhaust-based, the same kind originally used in bomber planes. When the war ended, the company received approval to invest $1 million in research to develop more advanced turbine engines. This was when the company created its first engine called the black box.

In 1951, the company was awarded a large multi-million dollar contract by the U. S. Navy to develop the black box project with its radial turbines and centrifugal compressors. This allowed the engineers of the company to develop additional testing facilities for the turbines. By the 1960s, the company controlled a large portion of the turbine market, and the designs of that time are still widely used today.

The company has filed many patents relating to air traffic modernization. Some of these involve a system where multiple cameras can cover particular areas so that images can be processed to indicate the position, speed and direction of particular objects. Algorithms can also be patented, and they determine if a plane is flying too close to another plane in its trajectory.

Today, Honeywell avionics continues to produce many parts and equipment for aircraft. They produce turbofans in partnership with manufacturers in China such as Industrial Development Corporation, which is often called the International Turbine Engine Company. The company also works with General Electric Aircraft Engines to develop large thrust engines. This partnership is called the CFE Corporation.
