So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Solid Color Neckties Can Be Stylish

By Jaclyn Hurley

When one thinks of a necktie, they most generally do not think of a solid color. After all, solid color neckties are not necessarily the rage these days. This is an accessory that many men use to highlight their taste, individuality, and creativity. Some choose to use the necktie as their signature to whatever outfit they have put together.

What better accessory to use since it comes in so many different colors, sizes, shapes and options. It can easily be used to draw attention and set yourself apart from the norm. Although often utilized as an after thought or matter of course, it is often used as a tool to bring a business outfit together and polish it off. Why settle for the opinion that as long as the colors or patterns match, it will suffice when so much more can be gained from this wardrobe staple.

The style and size of a necktie is just as vital as the outfit it is to go with. It can be too short, too wide, too long, or slim for a certain look. Thus, it is important to pay attention to the details especially since this little accessory can say so much about the individual, their choices and style.

Although patterns can blend or complement perfectly to a classic suit or particular look, it is not the only choice. The less thought of solid tie can offer a bold or subtle statement, whichever is preferred, based on what is being worn. It can just as easily be utilized to complement or accentuate a suit or shirt regardless of whether the outfit is solid or patterned.

Utilizing the right size solid can also emphasize a particular look a person would like to achieve as well. In many cases, it can be even more effective to use than a patterned neck tie. One can find every hue imaginable if they simply look. Custom orders exist for those looking for a combination of things. For instance, a teal colored, skinny tie that needs to be extra long and in a woven fabric.

Although we have been discussing this accessory as though it is utilized only by men, we must not do this. Women have often used this particular accessory with flair and style for many years. They have creatively added both solid and patterned neckties to bring their outfits together.

An addition to the tie is the pocket square which is often a second focal point and coordinated with the tie. Individuals have been known to mix up these two accessories so they complement each other instead of simply being the same tone. Regardless, of this trend it should be noted that the perfect tone used in both articles can be used to complement the skin tone as well as outfit.

An individual can be both stylish and creative by using solid colors with their outfits. Paired properly, this accessory can make statements about the wearers flair and creativity. For both men and women, the necktie can gently tie an outfit together or provide a bold splash of color to it. It should really be considered a staple accessory for the individual with discerning tastes in fashion.
