So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

The Licensed VIN Verification San Jose CA Needs Is Easy To Get Done

By Tanisha Berg

One of the things that California requires from all registered vehicles is a verified Vehicle Identification Number or VIN. Most of the time, if your car or truck as been registered in the state for a while, you do not have to worry about it. If you, however, are in one of a few classifications, you may need to have this number identified and verified. The way to do this is to have a licensed VIN verification San Jose DMV needs from you.

One of the reasons for needing this service is the bringing in of a vehicle from another state. This certainly has never been in the state before and does not exist, legally, yet. Another reason for getting this verification done is the combination of a new engine with a currently held frame or auto body. The combination of the engine number and VIN of the frame will represent a new vehicle.

The DMV or Department of Motor Vehicles is one of these places that will verify this information. You might think they are the only ones, given their responsibility in this matter. That would be wrong as licensed individuals, as well as some companies, within the state can also perform this task. Remember this has to be done through someone who actually has a license that the Golden State recognizes.

Other individuals can register with the state and undertake the training as well as certification to perform this duty. Some of these will be Notaries, car dealers, both new and used, as well as people involved in doing this full time. Many of these people will advertise their willingness to perform this through websites and community boards.

Getting this done can be accomplished in many ways. Some of the certified individuals can and will come to you. Others will have you come to them and some of them will take appointments. Others that require you to drive in will take you, first come first served. Making sure of getting the one that works best with your schedule is the best idea.

One of the ways that you will know if this is a task you need to have done is if the DMV tells you it does. As the need arises, calling one of these individuals can be done to get the ball rolling. Decide whether you want them to come to you or whether you can drop by their location.

There are a few pieces of information you should have available when you, or they, show up. A photo identification card will be needed. The registration, current or expired will also need to be presented. This may be from the previous state or a bill of sale in the event of a missing registration. Any other paperwork that you have, such as certification of weight on a truck or trailer, should also be offered to the verifier. This will all be recorded on the state form Reg 31.

The dirtiest part of the task is the finding of the actual VIN on the vehicle. It may be on the dashboard and or in the trunk. It also could be under the vehicle, on the frame or in the driver side door jamb. Depending on the make, model and country of origin, it could be anywhere and it must be found. The condition of the plate it is on is also noted, especially if it has been altered in any way noticeable.
