So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

With Time The Corvette 0-60 Times Have Improved

By Rhea Frazier

There is a car, one which is just as American as baseball, apple pie and NASA. When it is time to give a new car to the original astronauts, it's the key to this classic that are handed over. Now this iconic American brand is attempting to rocket into the future with the top of the line 330 kilometer per hour super speed, it is the new C7 and for this Corvette 0-60 is not the sole purpose of existence, it has far more performance than that, you see.

The vehicle is being built in the Kentucky mega factory. The previous ZR1 was also extremely nice. It was initially a secret project, a secret whose sole purpose is to transform a whole sport car into a full-blown exotic supercar . The model just came out of a meeting with the CEO of the Chevrolet company and decided that it is time to go all out and announce that it is time to bring out the big guns.

Every vehicle has the LED type running lights, LED running signals and HID headlights. Looking at the front of the car, it still has that low wide stance and it kind of gives the vehicle more of a supercar feel to it as opposed to just a sports car. This is definitely a class above the Mustang and the Camaro and other cars similar to them.

The size of the Corvette is about 177 inches long which is the typical size of any average car. The wheel base is a hundred and seven inches long, and as for width, one thing is known that this thing is incredibly wide. It gives the person plenty of room do anything.

No one could know anything about the ZR1 project until it was officially announced. It was so secret that not so many of the GM staff even knew about this project. In order for the secret to be kept even further, a code name was accepted - the Blue devil.

First it is the front of the car which is the hood, then comes the turn for the roof and the doors to be stamped. In order to stamp the doors the robots need to go into a 'shift' change which requires them to tune themselves via an automatic program, and when finished, the process will continue. With the stamping dies in position, they will continue working.

The goal is simple to describe, but hard to accomplish - build the fastest, best handling vehicle the company has ever made. The ZR1 is a full-blown 330 kilometers an hour rocket ship, which is known for one thing that when it comes down to speed, this car is on the top of the chain. There is no other American car that can go nearly that fast.

The challenge in getting to 330 kilometer s per hour is just a very big challenge for the whole team. The engineering issues in getting to and over 200 miles an hour are difficult because from 0 to 50 miles an hour, there is just not that much air moving around the car. From 50 to 100, there is quite a bit and from 100 to 150 there is even more air.Starting at 200 and above, moving is hard because there is an entire air wall to traverse.
