So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

How To Replace Your Car's Clutch With A Lincoln Park Auto Repair Service

By Nelson Cozad

Manual transmission vehicles are increasing in popularity, especially with the need to conserve on fuel. Even though they perform well for thousands of miles, clutches will wear down and require replacement eventually. Doing this job yourself can be a great deal more work than you imagine, and your Lincoln Park auto repair service is there to help.

Should you decide to do your own clutch work you will need to pull the motor from the car. This takes special equipment and it can be especially difficult if your motor is mounted transverse (sideways) in the engine bay. Unless you have done this work before, you could face many headaches.

You should take your vehicle to the shop as soon as you notice shifting problems. When a clutch becomes worn the transmission will begin to slip. A slipping transmission can cost you a great deal of money in lower gas mileage. Also, other worn parts (like the clutch pressure plate or throw out bearing) can go bad, and this can affect the way the car shifts and performs.

Your technician will test drive the vehicle and give you an estimate for the job. He may advise you to also replace the other components so you will not have to worry about future problems. It is easy to replace the other parts once the engine is removed.

Your car may have a hydraulic clutch and it should be inspected for problems also. For example, a leak within the system can make it almost impossible to shift gears in the car. If you place a lot of wear on your vehicle every day, talk to your mechanic about installing a heavy duty clutch and other components. This will give you better performance and a longer clutch lifespan.

Your local repair shop provides honest work at affordable prices. They are equipped to service your transmission and handle all kinds of engine and drive train repairs. You can count on their work to come with a total guarantee and if you reside nearby, they will give you a free ride home from the shop.
