So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Metal Garages For Your Home

By Patrick Joyce

Since 1983 the Californian company Duramax have been shipping their storage buildings out all over the United States and beyond. This company make a varied range of garage kits from vinyl sheds to metal sheds in all shapes and sizes. Their metal garages are one of their most popular kit form buildings mainly for user ability and quality of product over many cheaper brands.

Traditionally folks would have considered a wooden garage to serve their needs but these days this idea doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Why is that you ask? There are many pros over purchasing a metal garage over wood and of course the biggest one is that termites will never bother your metal garage, secondly it is a lot more cost effective and thirdly it is much easier and faster to put together.

There modular design means that it is easy to replace a part further down the line if a tree happens to land on your shed without going to too much trouble. Duramax parts are available from any duramax dealer and can be shipped out in a matter of days.

Furthermore when you have a perfect level concrete base to set your shed on. The whole assembly is a step by step process that any DIY minded person is capable of doing. All parts are numbered and modular panels fit side by side. You will surprise yourself how quick it goes when you get stuck in.

A standard metal garage from Duramax is 12 feet wide by 20 feet long. They also make a 26 foot long and a 32 foot long garage that both offer substantial storage space ranging from 240 sq. feet up to 384 sq. feet. While there are larger buildings on the market these Duramax metal garages are sufficient for most average home users and do not impose too much on your existing home. Their neutral colors allows them to blend into most environments.

Duramax garages come equipped with and eight foot wide roll up door that is over 6 feet high thus allowing for most standard size vehicles. Also included is a small walk in side door the can be useful if you don't need to bring your car in and out. Both doors can be secured with a padlock to protect your contents.

The roof structure on these metal garages is reinforced with heavy duty steel purlins that offers adequate support for snow load and extreme climate conditions that are common in the US winter periods. Duramax warrant their buildings with a 20lbs/ sq foot snow load and to withstand 115 mph winds when the building is anchored to the base which surpassed many cheaper brands.

A garage kit is an investment that you will use for a long time to come at you home. So why buy a Duramax garage you ask? Well they are maintenance free, they won't break the bank in terms of cost and you get a quality US made product that carries a 10 year warranty. You will also be proud of the fact the you installed it yourself and saved thousands of dollars in the process.
