So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Learn About Decorating Using Modern Wall Applications Locally In Brooklyn

By Rae Patricio

A homeowner can add to the ambiance in his home by having the walls decorated with special effects created through the use of paint. In some cases, the wall becomes the decoration. Professionals, such as a well-known Brooklyn Interior Wall Finishing Company, can create the perfect setting for a modern style of furniture. There are lovely finishes that are fancy and unique.

There are numerous stylish finishes to add an interesting and personalized touch to any home. Some of the modern materials replicate the look of fabric, concrete, metal and stone. The wide range of finishes offers something to please the taste of every homeowner.

The fabric like finish is done inexpensively compared to adhering actual fabric to the walls. It is easier to do than putting up wallpaper as well. Using top quality paint and your own creativity will yield excellent results.

Young people will always like the look of walls made of denim. Stria is another technique that many like. This faux finish uses soft streaks of paint. It is a quiet, relaxed background for any modern furniture.

Any favorite color can be painted on in a criss-cross pattern. The brush is dragged in horizontal lines and then in vertical ones. A ceiling in blue can have white circles drawn on top of the blue to look like clouds in the sky. It can be used on the walls as well.

Japanese plaster has been used extensively in Japan and other locations. A satori finish is an earth and sand based paint like process. It is applied using a hand trowel the way Venetian Italian plaster is applied. It has a distinct Eastern and modern look. Japanese rice straw can be added to the mix for an exotic look that is budget friendly.

Let your imagination run wild when it comes to decorating walls in the home. Ask your decorator to suggest modern looks. The professionals who do this work will say it helps walls to stay fresh and new looking since it is fingerprint and damage resistant.
