So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Framing For Designers And Essential Tips That You Can Use

By Alice Bursnell

One of the best and easiest ways to increase the appeal of a home is to add a bit of color and life to it. You can achieve this by putting up photos and artwork in different rooms. If you have a professional interior designer working on your home decor, here are some framing for designers tips that you can refer to so as to ensure that they do a good job.

The material that the frame is made out of is important. Some of the common materials used include metal, wood and plastic. You also have the choice of using a mat to frame your artwork. When buying a frame, cross check to see if it has something which can be used to hang it on a wall or something at the back to prop it up on a table.

You can purchase frames at multiple places. It all depends on what you are looking for. For customized frames, go to shops that deal with personalized orders. If you just want a regular frame, check with retailers who have a wide selection of frames. Do not forget to check online stores as well, as their frames are usually affordable. You also have the choice of buying the supplies that you need and custom make you own frame.

The frames you go for will be determined by the number of photos that you want to put up in the same place. If you are putting up multiple photos in the same room, it is best to use frames with the same design. The frames should complement the interior decor of the rest of the room. If you are only going to put up two or three photos, you can choose more exotic designs.

Consider the color of the frame. You can use a color wheel to choose a color that complements the color of the image. If you want to emphasize something specific on the image, find a frame in the color that matches the element that you want to highlight. If you are not sure which color to go for, choose either a black or mid tone wood, as this will go well with most artwork.

Consider the size of the frame. This will be influenced by the size of the image. You can opt for large frames with a bottom heavy border for small photos or you can opt for a large frame with thin borders for large pieces of artwork.

Frames that are easy to put together are easier to use. Therefore, always look for simplicity of use when selecting a frame. The easier a frame is to assemble, the less time it will take for you to insert your picture and put it together again.

If you want to get a high quality frame, be prepared to spend a good amount of money. This is important if you are framing a high quality or an expensive piece of art. A quality frame will last for a long time. However, if you are framing normal artwork, then you can opt for standard frames that are more affordable and easy to find.
