So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Effects Of The Car Culture On The Economy

By Mattie Knight

Nowadays, roads are becoming more expensive to maintain. The cost of renovating them is rising. Construction of new routes and expansion of the older ones does not seem to ease the traffic congestion. The businesses have to pay costs that come with traffic jams. This is because of the prevailing car culture in which many people are buying their own automobiles.

Any kind of expansion and turnover basically needs very efficient transport system. There should be some ease when moving raw materials from the source to the manufacturer. Once processing has been done, these commodities will have to be moved to other places where they are modified. Even the final products need to get to consumers easily. The states need a stable Programme for construction of roads.

They need to invest more in the construction of roads. This is because; the motor industry will continue to expand. You cannot deny that this is the main industry in the development of many capitals. With time it has develop needs and desires of its own.

For each and every individual, owning a car offers them much freedom and more opportunities. These individuals are free to travel anywhere without struggles. People in the earlier generation dreamt of this freedom which was rare to them. In fact, learning to move vehicles has been viewed as a break to adulthood. It is viewed as a first step in adulthood because you have fewer restrictions.

Individuals are now free to move anywhere. It is becoming a formal freedom each day. It is also representation of personal ability to have a control of all your activities. All places in the world are considered similar because tarmacking is very necessary for movement. It has become a norm and a necessity for most of the people. Most of the tasks involving movement need this technology. Even businesses have expanded to outside the major towns because of increased accessibility.

These motor vehicles are not only important in accumulation of capital in economies. They are also deemed necessary in consolidation of compromises which led to this kind of accumulation. With the promise of some physical freedom and easier mobilization there is increased political demobilization. People in working class find it hard to operate without cars.

Even without involvement of planner unions, particular businesses like factories, road haulage and retail firms are increasing their demand for and filling the road space. One of the trends that is so influential in increasing needs for roads is the utilization of the just in time policy. This system actually started as one production strategy whose aim was to economize both time and space. The argument here is that there should be efficient communication in the whole production process. This saves on warehouse space and ensures more activity.

This motor vehicle industry will remain to be the main indicator for the world economy. The many industries around are in need of expansion of this industry. As the motor vehicles increase in number, there is great need for road expansion. Roads are very important in any kind of expansion for the industries.
