So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Strategies To Employ For Energy Solutions For Car And Truck Spray Booths

By Dennis Wallace

Automotive repair and remodeling enthusiasts require spraying technology for efficient finishing of their products. A hand spray is mostly used for small fixes. However a spray booth is a must-have for industrial use. The equipment is highly efficient in doing the automobile paint job. The downside is that it consumes a lot of energy to complete its functions. Owners of car and truck spray booths must consider the options available to curtail energy wastage in the process for them to realize maximum profits.

Consider recirculating the air running through the equipment. In this regard, re-circulation ensures that the energy consumption is reduced as the air conditioner need not be present. Consider that the air in circulation in your sprayer is set at a particular temperature and humidity. Cascading and re-circulating air ensures that the heat is greatly reduced.

Use variable frequency drives to run the electrical parts of the appliance. The system reduces energy use by matching the motor output closer to the load. In this regard, the parts such as the fan have a better speed and starting power. Increased revolutions of the fan increase air circulation in the cubicle. This way, the tool experiences reduced air loss when the doors are opened. Consider that cold air undermines efficiency as it has to be reheated and re-humidified.

Also consider the altering the process. Initially the paint booths allowed for one coat to be sprayed and allowed to dry before another is added. Some equipment allows for subsequent layers to be installed while the initial coat is still wet. The process does not compromise the quality of painting jobs. Some manufacturers use dry paint for the efficacy of the finish.

Consider reusing the bi-products of the process in other parts of the system. The major bi-product is heat, and other volatile gasses. Consider powering subsequent procedures with the produced energy. This way, no energy goes to waste.

Maintenance of the equipment is mandatory. Efficacy of the equipment minimizes energy loss. Check the piping and pressure tubes for leakage. Also clean the vents and the filters. Replace the sieve if the filter is worn out. You can run energy diagnostics to establish the best course of action to manage the wastage point.

Controls play a significant role in ensuring that the systems are functioning as required. The cubicle requires that controls for the humidity, temperature and pressure are maintained and adjusted suitably for the desired finish. There are smart paint systems which are self-regulatory. They adjust the settings as entered. Programmable spray booths can also run self-diagnostics to identify possible energy leakage areas in the sprayer.

Automotive spray booths consume large amounts of energy. For owners to realize profits and efficacy in the job, they must devise ways to mitigate the energy consumption of the appliances. Some solutions include re-circulation of air in the system and through the process. Also consider altering the painting process. However, be careful to sustain the quality of the repainting job. Recirculate heat and other bi-products in the process. More importantly consider using technology to manage the painting process. All in all, ensure that the equipment is free from blockages, debris and leakages.
