So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

How Flat Fast Crankshafts Work

By Debra Gray

There is nothing like the bone rattling speed of the classic American V8 vehicle and there are a significant number of owners in the country. Today, there is a differentiation between these owners in terms of the kind cranks they use. These make a difference in sound and handling, and a number of other factors that make the use this kind of vehicle unique.

You know what is coming up the road when you hear them, and knowing its identity is assured through this sound. Flat fast crankshafts make that gurgling roar, one unique quality that has identified the classic vehicle. The small engine block comes alive with a new innovation that is fast becoming a standard for V8 vehicle owners in the nation.

The cars of this type are no longer made, but there have been many brands and units sold during the 50s to the 70s. It is known as the muscle car, which is now considered a classic vehicle. A parts and engine making industry has grown up around these mythical creatures of American streets to keep them well and rolling.

Regardless of your preference in detailing, brand and engine configuration, the flat crank has become the byword for power. And this is the exact quality that owners want to make obvious in their cars in every sense of this word. Power is what these crankshafts give in sound and in performance of any vehicle that has them.

This is something dissimilar to the cross crank device that is still in demand in the market for body shops and users. The once dominant type use planes that cross each other, needs more work and is heavy. The latest one rotates at high speeds, and therefore produces more torsion loads and HPs.

This really is great power, and engines will give proof of this when they turn out incredible amounts of HP. This kind of crank makes a V8 engine that is running on the 5.2 liter model create up to 500 horsepower or more and about four hundred torque. These statistics are not something that are present in models using the cross shafts.

That sounds like a lot of power, and the engine block does not disappoint with the horsepower it delivers. The use of the crank enables V8s to generate upwards of 500 hp and 400 pound feet of torque from an efficient 5.2 liter engine. Now these are very impressive statistics, and a definite improvement on the same classic engines that had cross planes put in.

Trends come and trends go for this industry, and this latest is something that can outlast all others. This development is something that many muscle car owners have missed, because they belong to the classic models, but it has become more improved. A lot of investors have already supported the craze and funding has grown more.

For enthusiasts of the muscle car, access to news about new advances for it can be done online. Many sites offer details and pics and even marketing discounts for those interested in having this new type of crankshaft. A lot of other enthusiasts have gone on and have had them installed and they are part of the new breed of owners that are enjoying the classic ride.
