So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Knowing When It's Time For A Timing Chain Replacement From An Auto Repair North Center Chicago

By Julio Riess

The timing belt isn't an easy do-it-yourself fix. If you think you have an issue, leave it to an auto repair professional to fix. That's when it's time to seek out auto repair North Center Chicago.

What is a Timing Chain? You may know what a timing belt is. It's a toothed belt made of rubber that runs outside the engine and is covered by a casing. The timing chain is inside the engine. It's made of metal and resembles a bicycle chain.

The way the timing chain works as it runs through the inner working of the engine is with the help of lubrication from the oil in the engine. Every forty thousand to one hundred thousand miles, it is a good idea to get the oil changed. Depending on your vehicle type, this may be a different figure for you in your case.

How Do I Know When to Replace my Timing Chain? If you have a newer car, then you probably don't have to worry about your timing chain. On older models with at least 40,000 miles, here is what you can look for. Often, a worn timing chain makes the engine sluggish, so you can feel the loss of power, or you may have trouble starting the engine. When the chain wears, it stretches out, and this slows ignition as well as valve timing, resulting in sluggish or failed engine start.

There are different parts of the car that can make different noises when things are going bad. Knowing which part makes which noise can be a big help to identifying the problem. The pros know that a buzzing or whirring means there is something wrong with that timing chain.

Some people really wits that they could fix something on their own. Sometimes this is just for the feeling of self-sufficiency. However, you can feel good about being smart by seeking out one of these professionals.
