So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

How Wheelchair Roadside Assistance Can Save Lives

By Donald Snyder

There are a number of situations that people deal with when driving or getting in and out of the car that are made considerably more difficult, inconvenient, and even dangerous for those who have limited mobility. Since these situations can sometimes be life-threatening, it is very important to have a reliable service to help. That is where wheelchair roadside assistance comes in.

Most people are familiar with the dangerous driving conditions that often come in the wintertime. Ice on the road can cause a vehicle to slide off the road, and piles of snow in the forms of snowbanks and snowdrifts can easily get a car stuck. It is always a comfort to know that in the event of one of these scenarios happening, there is someone to call who can come and help.

It is not always possible to know exactly when a car will break down. While it is best to have a car checked on regularly, even then there can be unexpected problems that result in a person being stuck on the side of the road. There is no knowing exactly when and where these things will happen, so it's a good feeling to be covered whenever you're on the road.

Nobody likes to see their car towed away. Most people's biggest concerns are the fee that comes with having a vehicle towed, and the hassle of finding a different way of getting to their next destination. For disabled people, finding a different ride home is not nearly as easy, and requires a vehicle with specialized equipment.

When someone is trapped in their vehicle, the situation can go from inconvenient to highly dangerous very quickly. Being stuck in cold weather or on a dangerous part of the road is something anyone with limited mobility must be prepared for. The team that is dispatched will be able to get the person out of the vehicle.

The key to being able to provide this service is having a strong and widespread business network. Tow companies and medical centers are important to have connections with that spread across many different areas. This allows for the service to be provided anywhere the network reaches.

Many people are familiar with the standard roadside assistant services that are provided by a number of large companies. These services are similar to those in that they will help with normal problems like being out of gas, having a flat tire, or being broken down. They will also be able to transport the client to where they need to go.

Since there are specialty and often custom devices used by the ramps and other devices, and specialty technician is needed. Depending on the vehicular issue, a technician may be sent to see what the problem is. This makes it so the malfunction in the chair or ramp can be fixed on the spot rather than having to leave the vehicle behind.
