So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Info Showcasing Halal Certified Food

By Karen Meyer

The word halal has been derived from the Quran which is contrasted with haram, which means forbidden. Islamic dietary laws are strict thus should be followed to book, as eating certain foods is considered illegal henceforth forbidden. Food processing companies have provided acceptable foods for the Muslim culture by putting the halal notice on feed especially processed foods. We therefore get to indulge more on the information based on Halal certified food in this editorial.

As we are all aware Muslims do not consume pork or any other food processed from the meat. The Quran forbids it and other foods considered impure. Foods that are considered not pure depends on the source, probably the cause of the animals death and finally how it was processed. It is vital that for foodstuffs especially processed ones to have gone the right criteria of being processed, otherwise they will be considered impure for consumption.

Currently, there are very many food companies that usually offer such certified and processed foods as well as products. These usually include things like spring rolls, pizza, foie gras, baby food, ravioli, and many others. In addition, today such ready diets or meals are increasingly becoming very popular especially in the consumer market that is growing tremendously for Muslim individuals in America as well as Britain.

Agri-biotechnology has brought about genetically modified crops. These crops are also sold in the market and some used to process foodstuffs consequently, some of them maybe considered unfit according to the Islamic laws, as they have been impurely grown or processed. However it is very rare for such occurrences but either way companies are also ensuring the certification is made on such foodstuffs to ensure they are legal for the culture.

An animal slaughtered by a non Muslim, either a Christian or a Jew will be only considered accepted if it was slaughtered by slicing the jugular and appreciating by mentioning that the purpose is of permissible consumption and you are thankful to the God blessings.

Muslims, in essence, must also optimally ensure that all edibles or meals alongside other non-food products such as pharmaceuticals and cosmetics are permissible or categorized as Halal. Oftentimes, these items and products usually contain animal by-products as well as other possible ingredients which are not permissible especially for Islamic believers to consume or even use in any way, on their bodies.

The consumption of these accredited diet stuffs has been on the rise especially in Dubai and parts of the Middle East due to the large population of Muslims. It is crystal clear that companies are enjoying huge market benefits regardless of the criticism on the accreditation of the products. The global market for the foodstuffs has a higher growth estimation and it keeps on increasing annually.

Conclusively, it is vital to note that even other religions are purchasing such foods as some do not take pigs products. The accreditation has enabled the Islamic culture to grow even stronger as they are able to follow strictly what is stipulated in their laws and in the Quran.
