So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Island Hopping Bahamas: All Aboard The Clear Blue Waters

By Betty Collins

Whether you are someone who enjoys to laze on a beautiful boat or to race against the waves, sailing is a popular way to pass time or to spend on island hopping Bahamas. The clear water, fresh waves and crisp air is more than enough to increase your health and keep you wanting more.

What most don t know is that this activity plays a huge role for health. Apart from the obvious strength needed to yank and pull in order to sail in the right direction, your body also relies heavily on the diamonds that the open sea offers. You can expect less stress and more energy when you choose to introduce yourself to tasks where minimal responsibility is on you and more time is allocated to let nature take its course.

The one thing that all families and buddies need, is bonding. When you go on traditional holidays, it is easy to avoid facing what you need to because there are so many other things to do that result in you being more away from the people you came with, than with them. With sailing, you are forced to confront any problems you may have because you have nowhere else to go. It also means that all your time will be spent with the people on the boat.

Reservations will creep up soon enough and it will serve as a reason to rethink the waves. The element of space may be a key reason to keep away from this activity. There are plenty of bigger boats however, the bigger the boat the bigger the cost. This means that if you think to go for a smaller boat there will be less space. There are many people who are unable to be in small spaces and find it difficult to manoeuvre around especially if this has to be done over a long period.

Long periods in the ocean can lead to boredom. There is only so much of watching waves that you can do, especially if you are not one that enjoy nature. It is recommended that when you plan the trip, ask all friends to bring along an activity for everyone to play or be involved in. This way, you wil have several options.

Another con that may come into play is that you don t have control of the ocean. Whereas when you are on land, you can control most elements around you. It will take some time to get used to being controlled by nature and not being able to do much about it. An experienced navigator can assist with this.

If you are going to the sea for the first time, make sure that you prepare for what may arise. This can be seasickness due to heavy waves and the continuous scent of salt. You may also lose track of where you are if you haven t hired a navigator which means that you will be out longer than planned, this means more food and more water.

There are both pros and cons to doing this activity. Regardless, you can be sure to have an experience that you will never forget.
