So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Here Is Information On Long Beach CA Boat Wash Downs

By Stephanie Lewis

The environment continues to be polluted and contaminated by human activities, especially cleaning operations. Cleaning of various objects and surfaces using harmful products and chemicals continues to cause serious negative impacts on the environment. Boat hull cleaning operations where people use harmful chemicals that end up in the water system kill aquatic life and deteriorate the quality of water. That is why it is very important to be careful with cleaning practices and products used. Here are facts regarding Long Beach CA boat wash downs.

When cleaning a bat hull or dock, people typically use products such as dish soap, multi-purpose soap, and laundry soap. What these soaps do is that they raise the level of nutrient pollution in the water, which in turn contributes to an increase in the amounts of algae growth. The soaps raise nutrient pollution by increasing the amounts of phosphorus and ammonia, which also lead to oxygen depletion.

There are other cleaning agents apart from soap which are toxic to aquatic life. For this reason, one is advised to use a biodegradable cleaning agent. The product should not contain phosphates and should have a neutral pH in order to minimize pollution effects. Phosphorus levels in water bodies need to be kept at the lowest amount possible.

The secret behind being able to clean a boat without necessarily using harsh cleaning products is to have it cleaned more frequently. Boats which have been kept clean will not require much work to remove the dirt which might have accumulated on their surfaces over time. One hundred percent biodegradable cleaning products are much safer for gel-coat surfaces, painted, and fiberglass. Such products have gentle surfaces but are able to remove several forms of dirt like mold, accumulated salt, and grime

There are instructions that come with every cleaning product. One needs to read and follow these instructions when using a product to avoid harm. The hull should be properly scrubbed up to the water line. A higher level of water pressure can also be used to remove slime, barnacles and weeds that have accumulated under the vessel.

If there are stubborn stains on the surface, one should use citrus-based degreaser. Such products are usually safe for the water and do not contain ammonia, solvents, and alcohol. In order to achieve the best results, it is advisable to leave the cleaner stay on the stain for a few minute before rinsing it off.

One should use a microfiber towel to clean the boat without leaving any scratches behind. This microfiber towel is great for use on ablative bottom paint. A simple scrub is able to remove any surface dirt. However, how easily dirt can be removed will depend on how regularly the cleaning is done.

Prevention is always the best strategy to combat barnacles and other kinds of dirt that form beneath watercrafts. As such, one should spend some time under the water after every few weeks to remove any dirt before it accumulates to irreparable level. If one is not able to dive under the water and scrub the dirt away, they should hire a diver to get the job done for them.
