So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Proven Fundraising Opportunities Springfield That Work

By Harold Martin

Most non profit organizations have to raise funds to enable them run their activities. You might need to raise some money for long term use or even short term use. During such times, it is best that you use multiple methods to raise money. You can experiment with different fundraising opportunities Springfield to see which one will work best for you. Here are some ways on how to get people on your bandwagon for increased chances of meeting your campaign goals.

One of the easiest things you can do is to have a yard sale. In this case. Talk to members of the community and request them to donate items to you. You can then take these items, clean them up, repair them and then sell them to the public at a yard sale. You get to keep all the proceeds from the sale. To increase the amount of money that you raise, talk to major shops and well known people in the area and ask them to donate major things or help you create a buzz about the yard sale.

Alternatively, you can ask participants to give up something in their daily life, and instead donate the money that they would have used to buy that thing. For example, you can ask people to skip one meal a day and then donate the money they would have used, let's say to buy coffee or even lunch. Request them to spread the word among their networks and challenge their friends and families to do the same thing too.

You can organize a trivia event. You can do this in a town hall or you can talk to a restaurant owner or a club owner and hold the event there. Challenge various groups to sign up for the trivia. Groups get charged an admission fees to participate. Other people who come will also have to pay a fee at the entrance. You can challenge the groups to compete to see which group will raise the most money.

Another idea is for you to gather your family and friends together. You can then design crafty items, which you can sell for profit. The money raised will be used for your cause. There are so many online tutorials that give guidance on how to make different things, so you should be able to find something that you can easily do.

Cookbooks are also quite popular. You can get people to give a recipe each of something they like to cook. You can then put together these recipes and come up with a cook book. Have a graphic designer layout the book professionally then sell the cookbook to the public.

T-shirt fundraisers are also quite popular. Design some nice t-shirts and then sell them out. Make sure to let people know that you are selling them, so that they can order.

Potluck events are also a great idea. Let different people volunteer to bring different dishes to the potluck. You can then invite people to come and enjoy the meal. Charge all the attendees a nominal fee at the entrance. This way, people get to enjoy a nice meal and have a good time, while you are also able to raise the money that you need. This is a great idea for small communities where people are close.
