So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Things To Do When You Get Bored

Everyone gets bored from time to time. You may have more time on your hands because of a summer vacation. Most people are entitled to some time off, but can't afford to go on vacation. It is important that you have things to do during this time instead of just watching Netflix to pass the time.

Both adults and kids need to be active indoors as well as outdoors. You should also have a variety of activities that inspired you during this time. Trying out something new can be a lot of fun, while learning at the same time. It can be a new hobby or it can be learning a new language. When you are bored, you will become negative about life.

There are so many art projects that you can do, even if you are not a Picasso. There are many resources online which give you step by step tutorials. You will learn to work on canvas and use different kinds of paints and mediums. You will learn how to be creative and unique. You can learn to use various things like crayons in addition with heat to come up with masterpieces. Before long, you will be displaying a lot of these works on your walls.

Many people find that this is the time of coping and preparing for the next stage when they go back to work. Learning to meditate can be a good option. Learning new skills, such as being able to meditate will help you to reduce the stress and tension that is setting you back in the workplace. There are many resources online and apps which you can download.

It can begin with your kitchen cabinets and making sure that certain items are packed in a systematic fashion. Your clothes may have become untidy. You can find containers online which help organized things like socks should you be stuck for space. Take time out and give yourself some attention.

This can cause a lot less frustrations in your life. Start with a list because it is a big job, so you may want to go by various sections in the home. For example, most people have a lot of books that they are not reading. These can be donated to the library. Other people have clothes that they are not wearing. It will help you out should it come time to move and you need to deal with what you have piled up around you.

Paint a wall or some furniture in your home. It is great to change things around in the home from time to time. Of course, you should have an idea of what you want. An old chest of drawers can be transformed into something beautiful with a range of paint techniques. You can either make this rustic or more elegant. Painting just one wall can make a nice effect as well.

Get in contact with an old friend. One can lose touch with old friends so quickly. You also tend to see less of family members for one reason or another. When you have more time on your hands, it is the perfect opportunity to send the odd message or to link up via Skype or facetime. Don't wait forever to link up again. Make a coffee date where you will get in touch or another Skype date.
