So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

The Gift of Tea.

By Fred Stewart

With the recent popularity of green teas and other similar products you may want to consider making a tea gift basket for a friend or relative. The benefits of these natural drinks are numerous and they are tasty as well. You can create a tea gift basket on your own or you can find a pre-made arrangement in a number of places.

I find it a fun challenge to design tea baskets for my loved ones and it is a more meaningful and personal present. Bear the receiver in mind as you peruse the multitude of tea varieties and you can compile a gift that will give both joy and health benefits. What is it about their character or lifestyle that you want to support?

My favorite tea gift basket that I created was for a friend who is always on one diet after another. She really doesn't need to be. I really think that she just diets for something to do. I created a great tea gift basket with a humorous twist for my dieting friend. The arrangement took no time at all to make. In fact, the concept took me longer to develop than the actual tea gift basket.

She was very appreciative of all my efforts and is now really into green chai. So much so in fact, that she is doing similar baskets for all her buddies in the aerobic class.

Another great tea gift basket idea is to work with flavors. If you know someone who loves fresh fruit why not combine some of her favorite fruits with some fruit flavored teas. This makes a wonderfully healthy present that any fruit lover would appreciate. Some fruity cookies wouldn't hurt in this arrangement, either.

There are a myriad of flavours within a large number of categories of tea and this allows each gift basket to be unique and adapted to the receiver. Imagine a basket of fruit teas mingled with colourful real fruit or herb teas with flowers for mothers day.

If you know someone who likes a nice pick-me-up in the morning you could make a tea gift basket that is filled with breakfast blends. Add some gourmet pancake mix and some syrup and you have a great present. On the other hand, you can make a bedtime arrangement that includes bath oils, candles and chamomile teas.

Gift tea baskets are only lmited by the extent of your imagination but they all have one thing in common; they are put together with love and given with consideration.
