So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Picking your digital camera

By Joshua D Gunn

If you are ready to purchase a new digital camera, one of the first problems you need to consider is what brandname to buy. The Canon name has been around for a long time and has a reputation for high quality, durability and technically advanced cameras. Once you decide on purchasing a Canon, the next process is to think which model you want and how much money you are willing to spend. If you are like most people, you will be muddled as to what designs you want in a camera and which ones you will not use. In order to pin point what design you want to purchase you will need to think about what you will be using your camera for.

For those that can never make up their mind, knowing the different makes of Canon cams can help make that final decision. Each of the classes has a set of makes that are similar in looks, but vary in features. Heres an look of each design.

If you need a camera to take pics on the job or are thinking about professional photography, the SX and G design of cameras will work nice. These cameras have over 8 MP, a wide range of functions and shooting modes. The most affordable SLR camera in this design is the latest model SX110 IS. It prices for around $250 and has some functions of the higher priced models. The G10 is the first of the line and is usable for underwater shooting by placing it in a waterproof case.

If you prefer a compact cam with a fancy appearance plus more features, you may want the ELPH or Electronics Physics cameras. As of now, there are seven different designs available. The preferred cam from this lineup is the PowerShot SD1100IS partially due to the idea it gives you five different colors to choose from. many of the more costly SD series cams have an advanced DIGIC4 image processor. This enhances picture quality automatically and has an auto correct feature that works well even for the novice photographer. Price points for these models are from $180 to $400.

If you do not plan to travel a lot or are short on cash, an A series camera will be just right for you. They do not have many functions but are still better than most cellular phone cams. These cameras all come with the DIGICIII image processor. This will auto correct the white balance with each shot. Its face detection feature brings out facial features and fixes skin tones. The many models in this class have different MP. The A470 camera retails for a very affordable $100, others in the A series have a varying price tag.

The recent In the Canon digital cameras are the E series. These cameras are very different in make from the rest. The E1 is the only model in this class yet. It has three different pastel colors to choose from, and a curvy appearance with an different array of controls. This innovative camera is pleasing to the eye and still has some of the features of a mid range camera.

More information about these cams can be found in the Canon site. This should help you a lot better in deciding what cam is best for you.
