So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Some of the collectible years of old Chevy trucks are late 60's and early 70's

One of the most memorable years was '69 In 1969 the Chevy 350 cid V8 was first offered, this is what made this year so memorable. 2002 was the last year the 350 cid was made in the US. It is still produced in Mexico. The funny thing is this is one engine size you will find cut across manufacturers lines being available in GM and Ford model vehicles. The K-5 Blazer was introduced this year as well.

What about the 1970 year model? From 69 to 70 very little changed in the appearance of these vehicles. There is one small change that differentiates between the two and it is in the grille.

Trim options where one thing Chevy opted to increase, otherwise, the overall look is relatively the same in '71Chrome trim and extra padding were added depending on options chosen. It is important to note that this was the year AM/FM radios were available installed on your new Chevy truck, and weren't we all glad to finally have FM in the truck?

There was not any reason to change much in '72, the trucks were still very much a favorite. A little wood grain for the interior of some models and a repositioned rear view mirror is about all there is to report for 1972.
