So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

How To Choose A Good Air Compressor

By Ricky Green

Portable air compressors come in a number of different types and sizes. The type of air compressor one uses depends on the power needed to drive the power tools you use. Your tools should list power requirements on them. Follow these recommendations and be sure to get an air compressor that can run your most powerful tool.

When working with an compressor it is important to take all safety precautions into consideration. Wear long sleeve shirts, long pants, and other protective clothing, including safety goggles. Wear heavy boots or steel-toe work boots when working with heavy duty tools.

One of the most common portable air compressors is a portable rotary screw compressor. This machine ranges from 65 to 1600 cubic feet of air per minute with a rating from 100 to 350 pounds per square inch (psi). Once you determine the types of tools you use, you will be better able to make an informed decision.

Truck mounted compressors are easy to use space savers. They are very popular because they can be mounted in the bed of a truck or under the hood. They use the engine of the truck for power. The only consideration is that you have to keep the truck running while you use the compressor.

A deck mounted compressor will be mounted in the bed of a truck. It is portable and can be removed and left on the job site. This makes set-up and work convenient. Deck mounted compressors have their own engine, so they aren't reliant on the power from your truck.

Air compressors are available with gas and electrical powered engines. In air compressors air is stored in a holding tank. Pressure is monitored by gauges on the compressor; pressure can be regulated by the pressure valve. Compressed air is forced down an attached hose which powers tools. Of the air compressors available one of the best brands is Quincy. Quincy offers a variety of small and large air compressor models to meet any number of needs. Their rotary screw compressors range in size from ten to 350 horsepower, offering flexibility regardless of the jobs you have to do.
