So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Castles Weddings For A Memorable Wedding

If you are looking for a fairytale wedding or just a really cool reception then castles weddings may be just the ticket. Castles are a unique ceremony and reception choice as they are fantastical and very glamorous. Castles have been built throughout history so you will have a choice of many different design periods.

There are several castles in the US that are excellent wedding venues. Newport, Rhode Island has its own castle, Belcourt castle. This castle was built in 1891 and has 60 rooms.

The Biltmore estate is quite extensive with over 250 rooms. This castle was designed like a French chateaux but you will find all modern facilities inside with a gym, bowling alley and indoor pool. The grounds are extensive with mountains and forests nearby.

The only official castle in the US is on Hawaii. Iolani Palace was built in the Florentine style and offers a fabulous destination wedding. If you live near New York City then OHEKA Castle Hotel is a good choice as it is very close to Manhattan. This castle was built in 1919 in the French style and you can have your guests stay at the castle as well as having the ceremony and reception.

There are castles abound in Europe as the history of Europe is more extensive then other countries. Rulers and royalty o the past liked to have castles built. There are castles in Wales, England and Scotland that can provide wedding services. A few popular choices include Bovey Castle, Coombe Abbey, Hazlewood Castle, Langley Castle, Eastnor Castle, Carr Hall Castle and Augill Castle.

French chateaux's are also an extravagant but gorgeous choice for a castle wedding. You can use an individual room from the castle, the dining area, or have exclusive use of the castle or sections of the castle. A few of the many available castles in France for weddings include Chateau d'Audrieu, Chateau de Bagnols, Chateau de Codignat, Chateau de Jallanges, Chateau de la Barre, and Chateau de Mercues.
