So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Decorating Your Pink Christmas Trees

By Alexa Morrison

When you choose to purchase a pink Christmas tree, you are going to limit yourself when it comes to adorning it.

Though pink Christmas trees are beautiful to look at, you have to be very choosy though in choosing the colors that you want in your tree. You should select colors that will better highlight its elegance and avoid colors that will make it appear garish.

For this reason, here are some do's and don'ts in selecting the decorative pieces for your pink Christmas tree.

Points You Should Do

You should always select shades that go best with the color pink. The perfect decorative Christmas pieces that you can add with your pink Christmas trees are those that balance out the color of your tree. One appropriate shade that will be ideal for your pink Christmas tree is gold. Not only does gold/silver highlight the tree and bring elegance to it, but it does not take your interest away from the tree itself.

Another shade that is ideal for your pink Christmas tree is white, and there are a lot of white ornamental pieces that will emphasize the beauty of your pink Christmas tree. Decorating your tree with pink ornaments is also okay. A point to consider is that if you have a dark pink tree, you should choose light pink ornaments, and vice versa.

Of course, a Christmas tree is not complete without Christmas lights, so you can make use of pink-colored lights or, again, white or silver lights.

What You Should Not Do

As stated above, you are given limited options if you desire an elegant pink Christmas tree.

When decorating your pink Christmas tree, you must stay away from red Christmas ornamental objects. Their hues conflict, and the color will not look nice on your tree. The same is correct when you choose orange-colored ornamental pieces. You want to have a Christmas tree, not a cake decked out like a Christmas tree.

You must also avoid exaggerating the decorations of your pink Christmas tree. Instead of using numerous Christmas balls and pretty ornaments, you can style it up by placing elegant yet simple ribbons or gold tassels hanging from the boughs. Make sure that you utilize them in moderation and avoid putting too much ornaments on your pink Christmas tree.
