So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Holidays In Ibiza, The Perfect Cure

By Wendy Chalmers

Are you looking for a perfect getaway to a sun drenched island? Do you enjoy time away from the kids, your own or someone elses? The Mediterranean island of Ibiza is a luxurious getaway from the mundane life you lead. You can expect high energy, away from the norm lifestyles on the island of Ibiza. Ibiza is the play ground of the rich and famous from the UK. Don't be surprised to find your favorite mix master showing up as a guest DJ at your resort or a local club. Holidays in Ibiza are always full of surprises.

If you're a sun worshiper, Ibiza is your haven. When you want a grown up vacation, you'll find Ibiza to be much more satisfying than other islands in the region. The playground of the rich and famous, Ibiza is always known to be inhabited by fashion icons and tabloid stars. You may very well rub elbows with one of your favorite celebrities when you come to Ibiza.

The city of Ibiza surrounds Dalt Villa, the remains of a walled city that dates back to the medieval period. Make sure to visit the Ibiza Cathedral on the hill that was built in the 14th century. The once Gothic styled cathedral was fully refurbished in the late 18th century and was remodeled in the baroque style. Learn about the dedication of the cathedral to Santa Maria la Mayor and the drastic change in architectural style.

Are you an avid golfer? Well bring your clubs to Ibiza when you visit! If you don't feel like lugging clubs all over town, you can rent a set from the Ibiza Golf Club or Roca Llisa Golf Club. Both clubs are open to visitors year round. Get blown away by the breath taking views from nearly every hole. You and your friends or traveling companion will be impressed with the pro league greens available on Ibiza.

If you'd like to get a glimpse of the entire island from water, you can take a ride on the Ibiza Star or Formentara Star which depart from Marina Botafoch and La Savina Port. These cruises are perfect for large or small groups. Cruceros Formenta offers various types of cruises; everything from day outings where you can soak up maximum rays to the Klasik which is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

You can find full tours of the island by sea or shore. Check out Panorama Excursions who offer services from 845 am until 5 pm on Saturday and Wednesday. Trips with Panorama Excursions will take you to the salt pans that were brought to an end by the Carthaginians 2000 or more years ago. You'll find a little bit of something for everyone with one of these guide based tours.

Although Ibiza remains a grown up paradise, families with kids are still welcome. Local resorts cater activities to children and offer kids camps and nanny services. This way you can still bring your children on holiday with you but enjoy adult activities. Ibizas certified babysitting services come in handy when you're interested in exploring the local nightlife.

Pacha is well known for being a hang out of popular musicians and the hippest folks in town. Whether you're in Ibiza with your family, that special someone or your golf buddies, you're sure to have a good time. Make sure you visit everything that Ibiza has to offer, something old, something new.
