So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Casual Or Formal-Bamboo Window shades For Your Home

By Jesita Jerik

Looking for something different to cover your windows? You've got lots of options when it comes to keeping out the light and keeping people from seeing what is going on in your home. If you're tired of the same old looks, perhaps you should consider bamboo shades. Not just anyone uses bamboo shades. Make a statement and let your friends see what could work for their homes, as well.

There are two kinds of bamboo shade that you can buy. First is the standard bamboo shade that you're probably used to seeing. These window shades consist of long slats of bamboo that hang horizontally and are bound on the sides, top and or bottom. Typically, they look very beach oriented. However, they're perfect for using to cover any window or door, no matter what climate you live in.

They're often referred to as roll up blinds because they literally roll up and down like a sheet of paper. They have a long fabric cord that controls them and they can be lowered or raised to whatever height you desire. They are cute, eclectic and can also be very modern looking. Depending on your needs, these window shades are very inexpensive and can be hung quickly and easily.

If you're looking for something a little less tropical island getaway looking but you know how sturdy and easy to clean bamboo is, you may want to consider bamboo vertical blinds or window shades. These are typically wider wood slats that look a little dressier than the previously mentioned bamboo shades but they are still not completely formal. You can dress them up or down, depending on your room decor. They are reasonably priced and will stand up well over time to direct sunlight and exposure to wind.

Woven window shades allow for a maximum amount of light to come in through them without giving away any of your privacy. Nobody wants the people around the house on the outside to see what's going on inside. These beautiful blinds allow for your utmost privacy.

They block out the suns heat, too. If you're trying to keep the interior of your home cool, they are perfect for making the heat stay where it belongs, outside. You'll also get a great benefit from them during the winter months when you want the heat in the house to stay there but you want some sunlight, too. They'll allow you to enjoy the sun's rays while keeping the drafts out of the house.

Woven roman bamboo shades are absolutely gorgeous. If you've seen them in magazines, which you probably have, you realize just what a difference they can make to your attractively decorated home. You can find them in a variety of sizes and colors.

Woven bamboo shades can be cut to fit any window in your home. They are resistant to stains and dirt and will provide you with a stylish look, no matter what room you use them in. Bamboo window shades come in all colors and sizes. Measure your windows before ordering your beautiful new window shades. Your friends will marvel at your gorgeous new window coverings!
