So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Comfortable And Stylish Shoes Are Best

By Michael Bolderwood

It often seems strange that so many footwear designers and manufacturers concentrate on producing shows that are either fashionable or comfortable. The reason that it can seem rather odd is because most of us really want shows that offer a combination of both style and comfort. It doesn't seem too much to ask that retailers should meet our requirements.

As we look at the very latest styles that have been made available, we can clearly see that most designers tend to concentrate on how shoes look, rather than how it feels to wear them. This is certainly unfortunate news for consumers. We may like the thought of wearing shoes that look good, but the reality is that none of us like struggling to walk in shoes that we find painful to wear.

The most basic concern that we may have may be that such footwear could be painful, rubbing against our delicate feet. But things can actually become much worse and you may even have felt the pain associated with blisters. Even though we may think that any such problems only tend to be temporary, this doesn't stop them from being painful, annoying and frustrating.

Buying shoes that take the opposite approach isn't necessarily any better. After all, there seems very little point in choosing shoes that are comfortable but that look really ugly. Wearing such shoes may lead to us losing confidence in the way that we look, which can cause its own problems.

So what can we do if we want a better solution? The good news is that there are an increasing number of retailers and manufacturers who are looking at providing alternatives. You can see that brand names, such as Fly Flots and Cosy Feet, have been concentrating their efforts on producing shoes that offer both comfort and style. As a result, we can see that it is possible to find the right balance. As consumers, we can only hope that more footwear designers start thinking in the same way.
