So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

How To Deal With Cockroach Infestation In Your House

By Albert Keithly

Cockroaches are tiny but nasty creatures that are found almost everywhere in the world. They usually live in wet and dark areas of a house and feed on any and every type of organic stuff. They are bearers of germs of many diseases and damage food and other things in the household. Thus, there is a need for eliminating the cockroach problem permanently, so that they dare not come back.

Many people in dealing with the cockroach menace turn to usage of sprays and insecticides that are equally harmful for human beings, especially for the children and household pets. Thus, it is generally a better idea to resort to natural ways of eliminating cockroaches from the house.

You can start with bringing about simple changes in the kitchen like keeping the sink and the area underneath it clean and seeing that unwashed utensils are not left in the sink for a long time. As cockroaches love dark and moist places, the spaces in and around a sink offer them the ideal habitat. You must try keeping all your food items covered so as to stop attracting the cockroaches to nibble on your food.

It is also critical to fill all the openings and holes, particularly those around your drainage and water pipes that offer the best entry points to the cockroaches. You must also make sure that the areas near sewers are kept clean and dry so that they do not become the habitat for cockroaches. If your home is close to a garbage dumping area or an open drainage, you have to take measures to find a way for distancing from them, as these could be the prime reasons for repeated cockroach infestation in your home.

Finally, if you are unable to drive away the cockroaches by natural methods, you must opt for chemicals like boric acid that are milder and less dangerous for humans than other stronger sprays and chemicals.
