So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

How To Pick The Ideal Prom Theme And Prom Dresses To Go With It

By Teresa K Knight

The prom dresses you select need to make heads turn during your prom night. Nevertheless, your dress may also go with your school's unique theme. Here are a few prom theme ideas to assist you to determine exactly what dress to use.

Paris at Night: Recapture a evening in Paris by making this intimate prom theme. Begin by painting a big mural of the Eiffel Tower and adding gold glitter to mimic the Eiffel Tower's lights at evening. Rent out a sizable garden arc and put at the venue entrance. Make use of man-made vines as well as Christmas lights to embellish the arc. Use dark butcher paper to create a path from the entrance right up to the party area. Use gold tulle in order to line the sides of the path. You can put old-world style lampposts rented from a party rental shop on either side of the path.

Hawaiian - It's like a beach party, but far more elegant. Set up a grass hut, palms, a back drop of the sea and sand-colored gossamer to create a prom paradise. Add a cascading waterfall utilizing metallic blue sheeting and you've got a terrific photo opportunity. Dress the tables with grass skirting, hand out tiki glasses, even put a cut-out of a Tahitian God within the corner. Hang seagulls from the ceiling, include paradise flowers and some seashells, several marine blue background paper and metallic blue paper for water and you are done! If you've got the time, you might like to make an island in the center of the room (another new photograph opportunity or even a place for your king and queen to relax!). You may even desire to offer leis, beachcomber hats and grass skirts for wonderful pics as well. This theme works very well with both the weather conditions, as most proms are held when it's finally getting nice out, and it results in a plethora of neat adornments. Grass skirts, surf and sand, leis, plus a light hearted feeling abound at a Hawaiian themed prom.

Retro Night: The 1980's provide a few classic music and costume ideas that would be a perfect fit for prom. Plus, since only a couple of decades have passed since Michael Jackson was still the king of pop, the concept is still fresh. Pass a few Madonna tracks to the Dj and decorate the gym with 80's memorabilia for an evening to recall.

Everything Jazz : Cut-outs of jazz players, black and white balloons printed with musical notes, sax and trumpet cut-outs to hang from the ceiling together with silvery 3' musical notes all make this concept really worth doing. Since the majority of jazz clubs were decorated in white and black in the 20's and 30's, stay with that. Decorate the tables with black as well as gold sheets, and spread a couple of votives circled by strings of pearls for centerpieces. Give fedoras for the guys, and feather boas for the ladies when it is time for a picture op.

Prom dresses are available in order to add spice to your prom night. Make sure you choose the ideal gown to match your style along with your theme too. Enjoy yourself on your prom!
