So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Everyone Should Be Making The Switch To LED Bulbs

By Byron Levey

The people who live in South Africa have come to believe that they are not always caught up with other areas of the globe but, although this is sometimes true, they are on the cutting edge of energy efficiency. It is true that many citizens of South Africa, as in other places, widely use incandescent bulbs even though they know they are hazardous. This will all change, though, because LED lights are now available for anyone to purchase.

Many people resist change of any kind and do not want to start buying different light bulbs because it is easier to use the same thing. It is important that they keep in mind, however, that standard bulbs are far from perfect and actually heat homes better than light them. It may seem like they cost less, but they waste a great deal of expensive energy each time they are turned on.

When someone makes the switch to LED lights, they will find that they spend a shocking ninety percent less on electricity for their home or office. The savings only add up from there when they consider the time and money that they save on replacing the lights. An LED light can last for up to one hundred thousand hours, one-hundred times more than the old incandescent options.

If someone continues to resist making a switch because they think it will be difficult, they should realize that nothing special is required to use LED lights. They go into exactly the same sockets that were used for the old fashioned style of lighting. Nothing, as far as the building?s electrical structure, needs to be changed in order to make this switch.

As people around the world make an attempt to conserve energy, changes will need to be made by every citizen. Although change can be difficult, it is not so terrible when small changes, such as using different lights, are made first. The switch to LED lights will have so many benefits that people will not be able to wait to start making other, more energy efficient adjustments in their lives.

The entire world is changing its ways in order to become more energy efficient, and South Africans can now get on board with affordable LED bulbs. This option is not only beneficial for the environment, but for the people who use them. The result is a lot less hassle in changing fixtures and a great deal of money saved on the electricity bill for many years to come.
