So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Utilizing RGB LED Strip Lights

By Byron Levey

Introducing RGB LED Strip Lights, one of the most famous brands of LED lights available on the market today. With their dazzling array of applications and possibilities, you can be sure that you will never run out of uses for this hugely popular product.

RGB lights may be used in a large variety of situations and contexts. For instance, they can be featured at prominent venues in popular entertainment areas such as pools, nightclubs, concert stages and at the sides of walkways in urbanized street areas whenever the need for mood lighting arises. The flexibility of these LED lights also allows them to be used domestically. They may be located in kitchens, stairs, corridors, cupboards, bathrooms and even window frames to add a bit more ambiance to your environment.

Alternatively these LED lights may be used in other more unusual ways. Some have even improvised by affixing them to their motor vehicles' batteries! These aforementioned vehicles would include trailers, trucks, cars caravans and sometimes even boats. You imagination is the only limit really!

Each RGB LED system comes with an accompanying controller, so it is generally encouraged that customers purchase both the strip and the controller from the same supplier. Using these controllers, the user can determine the nature of the light produced by the LED strip. For instance, you have the option of either fixing the strip lights to display a single, constant colour or choosing to vary the light frequencies, which will in turn, cause the LED color to change accordingly.

Before doing this, both the RGB controller and the strip lighting system must be correctly hooked up to a power source, more specifically, a transformer. Every form of lighting can withstand up to 12V of electricity and will therefore need to have a suitable power supply to properly control the volume of current generated from the mains (this value is 230V of alternating current in South Africa).

Each RGB LED system contains three LEDs (Light-Emitting Diodes) that operate together in unison. When the RGB controller is hooked up to the lights using Pulse-Width Modulation, the three separate LEDs will flicker on and off at specific frequencies. This in turn creates a platform for the vast multitude of color variations that spectators will have the pleasure of experiencing. In fact, the RGB LED system can literally generate over a million different varieties of colorful permutations.

These LED lights are also easy to incorporate into any environment. To make matters simpler, most arrive with self-adhesive tape already affixed to the backsides of the strip lights. These can also be cut down to various desired sizes and arranged parallel to the power supply. Furthermore, customers may choose to order special waterproof versions for other outdoor purposes. A good supplier will offer these additional services of cutting and reattaching the strips on behalf of the customer. He or she would also provide the customer with extra wiring, dimmer modules and other essential components.

Many household and business owners like strip lighting for the durability, sustainability and flexibility that it provides. By Introducing RGB LED Strip Lights to your environment, you will be able to provide beautiful yet low-voltage lighting effects for many years to come.
