So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

A Larger Percentage Of The Cruise Holiday

By Arthur Sudina

Those who have not actually been on a cruise, often maintain a view about these social events. If you have never been on these social holidays you may have be reluctant to explore the possibility of cruising. Here are some thoughts about cruising misconceptions.

There is still a misconception that cruising is dominated by the elderly, or late-middle aged. It is still true that many cruise goers own some gray hair, but in this day and age passengers come from all age ranges. Family friendly trips are available, which are increasing in popularity. There are even children -specific facilities and activities on board.

Today teens and twenty something's form A Larger Percentage Of The Cruise Holiday. During a booming economy, more of this age group have the funds, either from their own efforts or from generous parents. Even today in 2009 many people who, having saved a travel fund, are planning to put it together with a gift from a loving family, then taking the average four day cruise. Booking your cruise holiday in the past often-meant very rigid dining room schedules, recreation or entertainment. This has changed. The main meal times are still there but there are numerous alternatives. You'll discover buffets that offer the opportunity to eat between dining room hours.

Broadway style musical or theatrical performances make the evening a pleasure aboard a cruise ship as you travel between your ports of call. However, on board ship today you have dozens of different way to entertain yourself beside the customary good book. You'll even find bowling, deck tennis, computer games, card games and the list gets endless.

Many people have heard in the past that the activity choices were very narrow. That is no longer true as the floating hotels grew into floating cities. The entertainments I have listed are only a few examples. Do you like to dance? When at home do you live in a health club? All this is possible aboard most cruise ships and then, if you simply want to lie in the sun that's also possible. But, there are lots of ways to sunbath on board too.

Apart from the interesting activities and enjoyment, your ship is a fascinating place to be. Touring most of these giants that sail the oceans today, would take a good two days. So, even if you're feeling a little antisocial you'll have plenty to do and see simply walking through the floating city you're aboard. It's been many years since cruise ships gained the nickname floating hotels. However, today they are more like many holidays aboard a floating city. They have all the exciting things to do any great city has but it is all within easy reach.
