So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Transporting Your Car Successfully Through an Auto Shipping Company

By Tom Kearns

Most of our endeavors can be taken in steps - first baby steps then on to a final full run. You can't play football without a goal line and a ball. You can't knit without needles and yarn. One must have the proper tools to reach a successful ending to the job at hand. Let us stretch this concept to shipping your car. First step is to decide which auto transportation company to use and how to go about this.

From stage one to the final stage of finalizing a deal, there are definite best practices to involved. Stage one is research the auto shipping companies. Read articles, visit auto shipping websites, network with people who have had experience with auto shipping companies. Once you have a basic understanding of the industry and general knowledge of the auto shipping services available, you can enter into the next stage of narrowing it down to a few service providers or brokers from which to obtain pricing quotes.

Now that you have your company, you will need to gather the required documents together. Such documents include a driver's license, registration, proof of insurance, and vehicle specifications. Next step is price negotiations with the company of your choice.

These costs depend on distance traveled, choice of shipping container type, shipment weight and expected timeframe of delivery along with various miscellaneous fees and expenses. When a deal is satisfactorily agreed upon, you must review all the terms and conditions of the contract with a keen eye on cancellation fees and insurance options. Make sure you discuss these in detail and are acutely aware of them and understand them completely. Once your deal is solidified, you are ready for the deal to come to fruition.

You will now have the times and dates of the pickup and delivery of your vehicle and can begin your vehicle preparation. You will need to check engine function, gas levels, security features and the overall condition of your vehicle - make an actual checklist for you and your shipper to sign off on. Now your vehicle is ready for pickup and once that is accomplished, you need to follow up with the car transport company and the vehicle's receiver so you can ensure a smooth trip for your car.

Now your car is on its way to its new home. Follow up with the auto shipping company along the way to make sure all is well and follow up with the receiver of the vehicle so everyone knows what to expend at journey's end. If in your follow up you find some issues have arisen, you can deal with them promptly so they don't run amok. When all is to your satisfaction, be sure to give positive feedback and a profound thank you to your auto shipper - you may be back.

Now you know that auto shipping, like so many other activities, is hardly a one-step process. Moving vehicles is a complicated business requiring much expertise and knowledge. The decision process to settle on your car's carrier cannot be done hastily. Take your time, do your research thoroughly and you and your vehicle will wind up at your new destination safely and happily.
