So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Learn Safe Driving During Winter

By Darryl Denwood

Winter Driving, Tips On How To Be Safe

Defensive driving is actually defined in a simple way. It is an example of how you drive cautiously taking all possible measures to prevent accidents. Probably, it is the best choice you can ever take to be safe at all times.

First principle to take into consideration is to drive slowly always. Road signs that are normally followed are not always applicable during the season of winter. Changing of these signs is necessary during winter to avoid accidents. But if these are not changed, it is already the driver's initiative to lower down their speed level.

The ice, snow, and high speed of driving are the main reasons why stopping is actually difficult when you hit the brakes. You are at risk for crashing if you hit the break on a slippery ground with a very fast speed because brakes are not through these times. Stopping at the right time is not applicable. What happens is that when you are in a high speed even if the brake lights are still at a distance stopping in time is near to impossible. This type of irresponsible act makes you and the people inside your vehicle prone for accidents. If you start driving fact, not only is stopping impossible but even just to slow down. In short, brakes during a fast moving car in a slippery ground wipes do not make you safe.

Brakes are not the only problem at high speed as reported by the Texas defensive driving schools. Slight turns can cause disasters once you make sudden movements. Remember to always remember the importance of turning the wheels slowly and smoothly especially on a slippery road. When turning the steer be mindful of how slippery the road is, the speed at which the turn is being made, and the sharpness of the turn to be sure. Always bear in mind that when you are in a slippery road, sudden movements can cause accidents. Therefore sudden moves, may it be applying the brakes or turning the steer, is not part of the option.
