So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

What You Need To Know When Shopping For Cheap Contacts

By Adriana Noton

Shopping for cheap contacts can be a minefield, if you don't have the information you need. To ensure that you get a great deal on quality goods, learn some basic tips and facts about this marketplace in order to protect yourself from scams. Know terminology, and know the myths that some vendors exploit to gain your business. The better educated you are, the lower the chance that you'll make the wrong purchase.

If you are buying prescription lenses, be aware that some vendors will be willing to sell to you without seeing proof of prescription. This is, in fact, illegal in the United States, and directly violates the rules of the Federal Trade Commission. In general, a company that is willing to engage in illegal activity is not one that you should trust to provide adequate goods, or to protect personal information like your credit card number, so steer clear of these kinds of merchants.

Figure out whether you are searching for soft lenses or the rigid gas type before you begin shopping. These items have different price scales, different shapes that affect how they sit on the eye, and different levels of water content which affects the feeling of wearing them. A soft lens is generally less expensive to purchase than a hard lens, but because the rigid type lasts longer before needing to be replaced, the hard lens usually equals greater overall savings in the long run.

Once you've settled on your lens type and are comparing prices across different websites and retailers, be sure that you include shipping and handling costs as part of your hunt for the correct price. Sometimes a merchant will price items low in order to earn business, but will inflate the cost of shipping and handling in order to make a profit. Pay attention to these rates before you decide where to buy.

Before you actually hit the final button and make your purchase, do a little bit of research about the company you're buying from. Type the name of the website or vendor into a search engine and look for customer testimonials and reviews. Gauge whether the company has a positive or negative reputation in terms of questions like the quality of the products, or whether orders arrived in full and on schedule. If you find a lot of complaints, seriously consider switching to another merchant.

Another tip for saving money when you need to buy lenses is planning. If you know when you'll need replacements and do your shopping with plenty of lead time, it maximizes the chance that you'll be able to take the time to comparison shop for the very best available deal. In addition, you'll save yourself the expense of possibly having to pay for expedited shipping.

Another way to decide which vendor to patronize is by checking out the return policy of a website before you buy from them. Make sure you read the fine print to find out if you are protected in case of receiving a damaged or defective lens. Some companies will charge you a fee for replacing or returning the item, even if the problem is with their merchandise.

When you have the facts, shopping for cheap contact lenses is simple. When you're sure that you're making your purchase through a vendor with a great reputation, you can relax and enjoy the fact that you're getting your items for much less than you'd pay at a brick and mortar store in your town.
