So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Are Jilbabs Ideal For School Children?

By Regina Cheung

The vast majority of schools while in the Middle Eastern and Asian countries have uniforms for putting on to school. This promotes a sense of unity, belonging as well as teaches young children to follow and obey rules. The type of uniform worn in to a school largely relies in the ethnic place that the school is located towards. Other factors which as well play imperative roles in to determining the kind of uniforms adhered to incorporate the principle religion of that region as well as the climate.

Many Non Muslim Asian schools have their students decked out towards pants and shirts for boys and skirts or pinafore outfit for females. Towards Middle Eastern Islamic countries but, the uniforms are mostly in alliance with the attire code set forth by Islam. Boys are commonly times dressed in jubbas whereas her uniforms incorporate hijabs and jilbabs. The jilbabs are long, loose fitting over apparel that are often referred to the Muslim woman's dress.

The colours of the jilbabs vary from school to school, based during the symbolic colours for the school, however , the design are inevitably very similar to each other as Islam does not approve or permit very fashionable attire to be worn by lady when they are outside of the premises of their houses. Whether young or older, all woman students are seen putting on jilbabs into a number of Arab nations including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Iran, Iraq and Egypt to name a few.

Although the majority of schools in these nations are Muslim owned, but, there is a small minority of Catholic schools obtainable all over. These schools are run by Non Muslim administrations, though the uniforms still consist of jilbabs and jubbas if they are located in to a relatively strict Muslim country. This is done in order to demonstrate respect in the governing majority of the country and their religion.

Jilbabs for school children are mostly made of easy to manage fabrics that do not distract or hinder the child's performance towards any way. Whether they are a part of a uniform or worn otherwise, these hijabs also act as a symbol of identity and unity of the entire Muslim women's community. When young ladies start wearing them at the early school going age, they later do not have any difficulty in accepting the loose gowns, which can be a matter of disapproval for Non Muslim girls. So wearing these gowns from early childhood prove to be a great way to teach the young ones about modesty and conservatism that is inculcated while in the roots of their religion.
