So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

How To Overcome The Elements On Your Special Day

By Ruth Williams

It truly is no small task to plan a wedding at any time of the season. No matter how well you plan for things like wedding favour concepts, the wedding dress and the food you cannot always command the weather. Try these ideas to make certain weather conditions does not hinder your wedding day plans.

Get ready for the Heat

Lots of weddings take place in the summer months, however extreme heat can make for a less than enjoyable day for the brides and guest visitors likewise. To stay cool think about making use of any of the following options.

If the wedding ceremony is out of doors make sure there is plenty of cover from the sun available. The direct sunshine isn't something anybody needs to have to sit down in for very long. If you are set on having an out of doors wedding service through the summertime, try to have it at a much cooler time, like morning hours or sunset, and choose shaded areas whenever possible.

Double-check the air conditioning for the wedding service and the reception. Air conditioning is absolutely essential, and it's ideal to have access to the temperature control on the day, as it might have to be fine-tuned. The temperature will be different in a wedding service than it'll be for guests after they begin dancing and drinking!

Choose wedding favour ideas which help guests to stay cool. Individualized fans are a fabulous favour that can easily be used immediately on a hot day, as are things like parasols for out of doors weddings.

Incorporate ice cold beverages and desserts in the catering menu. Offer iced drinks by the door, and select a specialty drink for the wedding party which is crispy and refreshing. For a fun twist, experiment with icy desserts like alcoholic popsicles or specialty snow cones rather than warm-weather favourites such as cheese cake or crme brulee.

Keep Warm on Your Wedding Day!

If you have selected a winter wedding day, odds are the cold is going to be a factor at some point throughout the day. But here are several things it is easy to do to make your wedding ceremony a success.

Out of doors wedding ceremonies are still achievable in much cooler weather. But do be prepared by having an enclosed place with plenty of heating.

Select a warm drink to serve as a special beverage. Coffees with whiskey, Bailey's hot chocolates, or possibly a warm mulled wine make it simple to celebrate but still keep warm.

If you are considering a themed wedding and reception in the winter season, consider an exotic theme to warm things up regardless of the cold! Your friends and relatives can warm-up with the idea of sand and sun whilst enjoying tropical beverages and exotic meals.
