So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Cruising Holidays From Florida Brings Opportunities On Land

By Greg Thomson

When you choose to explore cruising from Florida, you will discover that several ports are host to cruise lines. Each city with a cruising port has things to entertain you on land and coastal waters. A bit of research ahead will go a long way to open up the opportunities that await you.

Enjoying Miami

Visitors will find many water related activities they can try for a start. For land based activities diversity of options is the best way to describe Miami treats. Consider renting a scooter, trying some road mountain biking, skateboarding or kite flying. There is skydiving and parasailing or a helicopter ride to experience. A narrated sightseeing tour is a nice way to learn about the city. But, it is a safe guess that South Beach will be a site that will not be left out of the itinerary. However, there is much more that awaits in Miami.

Things to do while in Fort Lauderdale

Here is the second largest cruise port in the world. Yachts and other boats by the thousands are moored around here as well. Fort Lauderdale is a wealthy city and beach community rolled into one. The International Swimming Hall of Fame is here, you might want to know. This city also known as the Venice of America for its over 300 canals, channels and rivers. Butterfly World has one of the largest collections in the world. The Hugh Taylor Birch State Recreation Area offers a tranquil retreat and nature trails to while away the time. The beautiful ambience of the city, its waterfront walkway, many historic sights, museums and cafes will leave you with an unforgettable impression of your visit here.

What you can do in Port Canaveral

If you like to gamble the two casino ships will beckon. Famous Orlando theme parks are a drive away, in case you care. Then there is the Kennedy Space Center to attract your interest. After all the time spent in these activities, if you have the energy there are airboat rides and deep sea fishing opportunities also. Cocoa Beach and its pier offers more conventional opportunities to feed and entertain yourselves..

Things to do while in Tampa

Busch Gardens, the Big Cat Rescue and Dinosaur World come immediately to mind. Theme parks for kids of all ages, museums, aquariums, zoos and gardens such as the Sunken Gardens and Cypress Gardens are Tampa attractions. The Bok Tower has trails, while Weeki Wachee Springs mermaid show is something to talk about. Gamblers can try the Seminole Indian Casino and if you are there in January, the annual Gasparilla Pirate Festival should not be missed.
