So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Vlisco Wax: Where did it come from

By Ilan Smith

African clothing are available in all kinds of style and design, however, there is one peculiar features among all of them and that's that they are vibrant, dazzling and stylish and quite often very comfortable. African fashion has different ways of expressing their attractiveness and elegance. A few consist of wide and pronounced embroidery while others are simple but divine without the embroidery, some come in a individual colour while other are conveyed in beautifully mixed colours, some include shorts while other with trousers. Entirely traditional African clothing give beauty, shape and character to the individual using it. African attire has been in vogue for centuries but what makes it more appealing is the reinvention of old African material for designing modern and contemporary african styles

Now what are the things you will need to take into account when shopping for African clothes? I would say there are 4 basic things you'll need to look out for

1. Just what cloth is the design manufactured from?: there are many African fabrics however the most popular types are the voile lace, satin lace, brocade, linen, adire, aso-oke, and the most popular known as the Ankara, the feel of the Ankara is such that it can be made into any style both old and fresh, however the most expensive being the lace material.

2. What sort of style am I looking for that can suit my celebration: The type of material or design you select will get much more respect and accolade wearing a well designed lace fabric than adire fabric so the bigger the event the larger the fabric, although in this modern period men could possibly prefer a well design Ankara to the lace fabric

3. Just how much does it cost: Like we said in the 2 factors above, the price is something you need also to consider, this is one point African clothing has over its rivals, because our textile and design originates from the original source that's West African our price is very much cheap and our design are original.

I am sure should you supply yourself with this strong three points when buying African clothing, you are 100% certain you will make a great choice and design
