So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Hybrid Vehicle Tax Credit

By Elton Joy

A hybrid vehicle is a vehicle that combines a modified internal combustion engine with an electrical motor. In addition, an added component to a hybrid vehicle is an extensive battery system that recharges itself and has the capability of being recharged. If an individual is considering the purchase and use of a hybrid vehicle, it is important to realize that there are a number of advantages associated with the commitment to drive a hybrid vehicle. Some of those advantages include financial savings and doing one's part in conserving the earth's resources.

One of the major advantages associated with the purchase of a hybrid vehicle is the financial savings that are passed on to the consumer. Specifically, the two major financial advantages of owning a hybrid vehicle is the reduction in the cost of gasoline and the various hybrid vehicle tax credits that are afforded to the customer. When it comes to the hybrid vehicle, the major advantage of driving a hybrid vehicle is that less gas is needed to run a hybrid car. This is due to the fact that the hybrid car generally uses the modified internal combustion for acceleration purposes. Examples of acceleration purposes can be when the vehicle is accelerating on a highway to obtain the speed limit. Once the speed limit has been obtained, then the electrical motor kicks into place and helps the vehicle to cruise at the speed limit. Therefore, the major gas consumption portion of this process is through the acceleration phase which limits the use of gasoline. Obviously, the less gas than is used in operating the vehicle translates to the less gas that is purchased.

You would get tax credits if you buy a hybrid vehicle. This hybrid vehicle tax credit is often offered by a number of taxing authorities. Specifically, those two taxing authorities are the federal government as well as a hybrid vehicle tax credit that may be offered by the local state.

The reason why these hybrid vehicle tax credits are offered is that the potential consumer will be enticed from purchasing a standard internal combustion engine vehicle and consider the purchase of a hybrid vehicle. This rationale is based on the fact that less internal combustion engine vehicles will be on the road which will help to reduce the emissions that are emitted and therefore help to reduce the greenhouse effect that attributes to global warming. In addition, the consumer will use less gasoline which will help to reduce the nation's dependency upon foreign oil.

Therefore, when an individual is conducting a hybrid vehicle comparison, it is important that a number of vehicle features are considered. Some of those comparisons should include the manufacturer's claim of miles per gallon that the consumer can expect, the various warrantees offered on the important components of the vehicle, the anticipated maintenance schedule that is needed to ensure optimum efficiency, the various hybrid vehicle tax credits that the consumer can expect, etc.
