So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Learn to examine the Rewards and Properties in Regards to the Barbie Dolls of the World

By Dewitt Spurgeon

Barbie, who doesn't know Barbie? I would suspect that not many people are unaware of Barbie's existence. One of the most collectible line of Barbies are the Barbie Dolls Of The World, which has now entered into it's 30th year. The Landmark collection is the way Mattel has chosen to celebrate this landmark anniversary.

Mattel shows their respect and thanks for a world of Barbie buyers and collectors, by having the blonde representing iconic places from around the world. Elegant and tastefully designed, the dresses and backdrops perfectly show their inspiration.

Big Ben Barbie is the British Barbie. Dressed in an elegant cocoa colored dress, with gold earrings in her ears and a cute little clutch. The world's most famous blonde standing in front of the world's most famous clock tower, a collectors dream come true!

See Barbie standing in the foreground with The Eiffel Tower in the background? Barbie has decided to ditch the blonde for the trip to Paris. She is dressed in an ivory gown with a decidedly Eiffel touch. In addition she has some rather nifty face paint and an Eiffel charm bracelet.

G'day Barbie! As part of the Landmark collection we see the blonde in front of the awe inspiring Sydney Opera House, dressed in a gown made from crushed taffeta and luxurious chiffon, to represent the famous shape of the Opera House and the beautiful ocean that it sits against.

The Landmark Collection wouldn't look right if the U. S. of A. wasn't represented. Mattel chose the Statue of Liberty in New York to proudly pay tribute to her home country. Two famous American women combined, with Barbie wearing a statue themed dress!

The reason Mattel created the Dolls Of The World range, or Pink collection as it's known by most "in the know" collectors, was to produce something that had Barbie representing the world in which she is widely known. Unique and creative, these dolls could capture the larger world's imagination far better than the normal Barbie in a swimsuit ever could.

If you are not a fan of Barbie, it's likely you do know someone that is a Barbie fan or even a Barbie collector. The mass appeal of these dolls and in particular the "Barbie Dolls of The World" collection make them an ideal gift. A gift that also could become a rainy day money investment.
