So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

A Reasonably Good Item - Half Moon Lawn Edger Critique

By Bella Smith

I find I spend 1/2 the time with this edger doing the same work. I actually do more work now in less time since I use it for trenching the flower-bed lines now.

I did a fair amount of research on it prior to my purchase because I didn't want a piece of junk. I looked at the reviews on all the major home improvement websites and the majority of people raved about it, so I decided to give it a shot. I purchased this edge trimmer after my old one broke. I had been using a Ryobi string trimmer with the edger attachment.

Cleaner, no need for gas mix. Highly recommend this Black and Decker product I originally bought a HAND edger for $20 for our lawn that wasn't maintained for years.

Powerful, handles well, easy to use and its performance is excellent. Well worth the price. Finally the first unit gave out so I gladly bought a second one. It lasted less than a year before the motor started to wear out. It does not work if you have an edge that has never been edged before in clay soil with tough sod. Mine overheated and the motor burnt out.

The blade is great and it gets the job done quickly easily and safely. I even think it's better than my neighbor's gas-powered edger. It cuts fine with straight line but left a very weird shape and does not handle the curve well at all. It cuts the line but cannot remove the grass between the line and the cement/edge.

The edges look clean and it is easy to use. It could use a little more power, but we expected that going in.

Should've done it a long time ago! Makes my lawn stand out! I'll be returning this for a refund first thing tomorrow. This product might be fine to edge along sidewalks but does not edge beds well. This edger only cuts about 60% of the grass and the rest it pushes away! It makes the job harder to because it barely has enough power making you the operator put forth more work to get it through the grass. For edging you do not need a gas powered machine. This edger has plenty of power. The blade does not dig deep enough to even "refresh" already edged beds. Pretty cheap item but does get the job done probably as well as an expensive edger.
