So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

By Thomas Egbert

With the flu season coming in, people should be properly prepared with combatants that may help them ward off the virus. Naturally it's possible to get a flu shot and scrub your hands often to avoid getting transmitted , however , the flu and other infectious diseases may come knocking on your door when you're most unready and can inflict you with an annoying headache and an awful congested feeling that will simply keep you in bed for the whole day. Rather than worrying about contracting the virus, give your immune system a bit of help by drinking green tea and tulsi leaf herbal tea.

A wonderful herbal tea called Tulsi is a great and delectable way to help this winter season. According to researches and studies made by various medical professionals, drinking Tulsi tea can help boost the immune system to significant levels. According to these studies and information, the anti-flu property of holy basil tea has been explored by medical experts around the world. Tulsi has been seen with natural properties that improve the drinker's overall body defense mechanisms, including their power to ward off viral infirmities. Similarly, this herbal tea was discovered to be a good combatant of Japanese Encephalitis and the swine influenza, as stated by many natural medicine experts. Apart from functioning as a preventive medicine for the flu, Tulsi leaves can assist in faster patient recovery. You can take Tulsi in herbal form with varied brands sold in the local specialty market and online with different flavours available for tea lovers to try out.

Then there's the ever amazing Green Tea from the camellia sinensis plant. A team of researchers tested out a major composition of green tea known as EGCG and revealed that it can limit DNA methyltransferase, an action that improves production of Foxp3, which is a transcription factor that manages the development of processes of Regulatory T cells or Treg, which is essential in controlling standard immunity and autoimmunity suppression. Nevertheless one part of green tea, Polyphenlos didn't show any major benefits or healing effects against the flu virus on the test subjects.

Overall, drinking green tea can be greatly beneficial for you and your children. Analysts found a collection of parts called as catechins and amino acid theanine, which can prove to be powerful combatants of the flu virus. Catechins forbid the attachment of the flu virus to cells and may interfere with viral reproduction. The mix of green tea catechins and theanine improve systemic immunity, particularly for cells that are typically concerned in combating viral infection, T cells.

Every year medical professionals are cautioning about protecting yourself against influenza. This time get some peace of mind and strengthen your immunological system and prepare your body by drinking green tea and tulsi. It's amazing how something as simple as tea can provide you with the boost you need.
