So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Adult Acne - How to Treat and Ultimately Get Rid of It

By John Kunz

Adult acne has lots of sources but it is rarely a welcome development. Sometimes the cases that afflict you are so severe that they cause scarring that needs the help of a dermatologist. Most of the time, though, acne is successfully treated with home remedies or over the counter products. In this article we'll be taking a look at some effective ways to eliminate adult acne.

If you want good skin, you need to eat a healthy diet; there is no doubt about this (it's required for your overall health as well). Foods that are fried, junky or full of trans fats aren't just detrimental for your waist lines and overall health, they an actually contribute to acne problems. You might also be able to help clear up your skin by avoiding dairy products, especially if those products contain growth hormones.

Some have also found that eating a low glycemic diet--a diet that is low in sugar and processed foods while being high in vegetables and good quality carbs--is good for clearing up acne. It's easy to track down a chart that will describe which foods sit where on the glycemic index. This specific technique is good for your total health as well as for your adult acne.

Still, when it does manage to grow back, it should be scar free. If you've got lots of scarring, you might need to go through two or three sessions but most of the time a single session is sufficient. Always check with your doctor to make sure that laser skin resurfacing is your best option.

After this, however, when the skin grows back, you won't have any more scars. If you've got lots of scarring, you might need to go through two or three sessions but most of the time a single session is sufficient. Make sure you check in with your doctor to ensure that skin resurfacing is honestly the best option for you.

Once in a while acne scars can be treated and cured with certain cosmetic procedures. A chemical peel, for example, will take off the top layer of your skin so any small and shallow acne scars will be removed this way. Chemical peels can be used, for example, to get rid of or alleviate any scarring on your face that occurred because of acne. Most chemical peels are used to remove lines or to give the skin a more youthful appearance but they are also sometimes used to treat severe cases of acne as well. Your doctor's office or a cosmetic surgery center can do the procedure. Sometimes though, they can cause discoloration of the skin and cause some (temporary) skin irritations that can be very painful. After your skin heals, though, the scars should be gone. This is a good procedure to consider for acne scars because it can be used with other treatments too.
