So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

The Northwards Shores Of KwaZulu Natal

By Dean James

KwaZulu Natal's North Coastline, sometimes known as The Dolphin Coast, stretches from Zimbali, an eco and golf estate to the grand Tugela Stream. Its inviting waters are the place to find the common bottlenose dolphin which can on occasion be seen frolicking in the surf close offshore throughout the year, while the tropical, rich shoreline features numerous quiet bays, golden shores and attractive houses.

Sections of natural coastal forest give way to everlasting rolling hillsides covered with fields of sugar cane, which extend to the inside. A particular mixture of top-end resorts and cost-effective holiday accommodation combine with striking shorelines and culturally various attractions making the holiday destination a shimmering jewel.

The Northwards Shore offers truly living Zulu Culture, bursting color, song and dance. On 24th Sep annually, this place comes to life to celebrate Heritage Day in a specific way. This day reminds the Zulu country of their rich history and the importance of leadership. The guests are constantly seen dressed in their traditional clothes exhibiting their roots.

The Northern Shore also has a rich cultural mix of Eastern, African and Western european influences where by curry seafood dens stand beside conventional Zulu dancing and colonial-style hospitality as the key sights. Found a little away from the coast is KwaDukuza, burial site of the remarkable King Shaka Zulu, and Groutville, home of Albert Luthuli, Africa's very first Nobel Peace laureate, with monuments and a remarkable museum keeping sworn statement to his role in South Africa's history.

A large Indian community sees their home in this area, allowing for travellers to take pleasure from their amazing temples and sample their culinary pleasures, including pineapple-on-a-stick, covered in sour spices. Stream quad biking trails, horse riding, a sugar cane farm museum, children's Animal farm and crocodile farms all strive for space on the leisure calender.

Coastal microlight tours, wonderful fishing and the chance to swim with the dolphins add to the good selection of memorable vacation encounters available. Walking distance to Durban and the Gigantic 5 game reserves of KwaZulu Natal make this location a remarkable choice for a vacation central to infectious vibe or craggy journey - simply take your pick.
