So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas - Merry Christmas

Have You Ever Imagined Owning A Truck

By David Duff

Gottlieb Daimler built the original truck with an engine in the year 1896. He was from Germany as well as one of the early automotive forerunners, who was attributed with building the first motorcycle and the first taxi. In the years ahead, his pickup truck had only two gear speeds, and for reverse, one, while 4hp was all of the power the engine could produce. The earliest trucks were designed to transport industrial goods, so when new needs were identified so new trucks had to be designed to meet them.

In the two world wars of the 1900s, trucks were used to move troops and ammunition, as well those injured in battle. Trucks were also built for logging, agriculture and other commercial uses - even for carrying concrete while it was being mixed and delivering it to construction sites ready for use. An extremely massive truck was later developed specially to carry cars and trucks from their places of origin to the different points of sale. Folks drive a myriad of trucks today, for all kinds of purposes, and these people are all different types as well.

Farmers now have numerous uses for their trucks; today they're going to be carrying supplies, tomorrow it could be cattle, and the day after it could be a farm tractor. Landscapers along with lawn maintenance businesses use trucks a lot. These companies also need trailers attached to the trucks to haul all of the needed equipment from job to job. Trucks are required not just in the business sphere, but also in the leisure-time environment. When you are an enthusiastic boater, for instance, and your boat is big, you will need something larger than an automobile to haul it. Furthermore, every one of the things that go along with boating need the back of a truck to carry them. Many car producers also make trucks, and trucks come in any size, shape or color imaginable, and at different prices.

There are trucks that mainly accommodate two or three people, and five can be seated comfortably in the large extended cab trucks. There are trucks that are quite plain with no extras, and there are those that have every possible option that is available. A number of people are big on the outdoors, and want an all-terrain vehicle which can get them through river streams, around hilly bumps and through mud. These bold sorts often own a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Clearly, a regular 2-wheel drive vehicle is just great for those of us who don't visit such places.

There are plenty of reasons for needing a truck, and you should analyze your needs to decide what the truck will be used for, and can it be afforded. When you have a family, a truck isn't necessarily the best option for your family car. Yet it's ideal for carting things that you cannot in a sedan. Do specify a limit on what you're willing to pay for your truck, though, and stick to it.
