So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Read These Travel Tips: Traveling Without Frustration

By Ursula Boyd

If you are going to travel to a tropical location on the water, it is well worth while to go snorkeling, if it is available. Many hotels offer snorkeling right at their beaches and there are usually snorkeling excursions to reefs and shipwrecks. The following guide will give you some more great tips, just like this one that you can take with you on all of your travels. When traveling in Europe, walk! Many European cities are smaller and more pedestrian friendlier than their American counterparts. Walking through a city will let you experience more and allow you to stop and discover interesting places along your route. Not only that, but you'll save on cab fares and other travel expenses.

When packing your bags for a trip on an airplane, always remember 3-1-1. Regulations now limit the amount of liquids and gels passengers can have in their carry on baggage. When you take your bag through security, they will make sure you only have your travel-size toiletries which are less than three ounces and fit into a one quart zip top bag and only one bag per passenger. You should contact a hotel ahead of time if you are planning to bring a dog on vacation with you. There are some hotels that do not allow dogs. To find out if a hotel allows dogs or not you should call the hotel and ask about their pet policy before traveling.

When you plan to take an extensive travel time and own a home, it may be in your best interest to rent out your home to make sure it is well kept while you are gone. This will ensure that bills are paid, utilities still on, and not make you lose money while you travel.Postcards make a wonderful souvenir of your travels. If something specific happens during your vacation, buy a postcard from the place you are visiting, and write down the memory on your back of the card. Use the postcards to help you decorate an album or scrapbook; they are a special way to remember what you experienced.

Before you start thinking about where you desire to travel next, subscribe to get emails from major airlines, hotels and rental companies. It will increase your amount of "junk" mail, but these newsletters often include information about last-minute hotel deals or flights that will allow you to use your frequent-flyer miles. Since these deals go quickly, finding out about them first is essential.Don't make plans with the airlines the day you go or later. Instead, try calling them the night before to reconfirm your flight is still scheduled or to see if it's overbooked. Give yourself at least a half hour to get to your airport. Also save time by checking in at home and pre-printing your boarding passes.

Reviews that are online are quite helpful but they are not always 100% reliable. Read between the lines to get a better idea if the person who has written the review is being persnickety or if they actually had a bad experience in the place you are researching. You may find other reviewers that say that it was a lovely time there.Try to look into getting a suitcase alarm for your personal belongings. This way, if anyone tries to steal your baggage or bags when you are not looking, an alarm with go off, alerting you of the potential theft. These alarms are not expensive and are easy to find.

Label your things. You know all of those return address labels you've accumulated over the years? Put them to smart use as labels for your items. Stick them on everything from baggage and handbags to cameras and umbrellas. So if you lose an item, it will be much easier to get it returned to you.
