So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Waffle Sandwich Recipes for Breakfast

Make breakfast a tastier experience and a a lot more thrilling meal for you and your spouse and children. Immediately after trying out these waffle sandwich recipes, you most likely won't want an alarm clock to wake your kids up. Their own excitement alone will wake them up and pull them towards the dining table first thing during the morning. Just before finding out how to make tasty waffle sandwiches, find out first the basic homemade waffle recipe. As soon as you've learned this, everything's possible for breakfast.

Recipe for Homemade Waffles

This uncomplicated recipe for homemade waffles will bring you fantastic waffles which can be delightful whether in plain but much more yummy with toppings and sandwich filling. You may use their leftovers as waffle sandwiches for breakfast the following morning. This recipe will make 6-8 waffles.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups flour (sifted is ideal, can use a combination of white and wheat flours, if desired) two teaspoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt three teaspoons double-acting baking powder two large eggs, separated (Separate egg yolks and whites in two bowls) 1/2 cube of butter (1/4 cup) or vegetable oil of your preference two cups milk (can use a mixture of fresh and powdered milk)

Directions:

1. Measure and prepare ingredients. Read waffle irons directions very carefully.

2. Place waffle maker on a safe spot, making sure cord isn't lurking out. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.

3. Inside a large mixing bowl, sift together dry ingredients.

4. In another bowl, whisk together egg yolks, butter and milk. Gently pour this mixture into dry mixture

5. In a small bowl, whip the two egg whites until stiff and carefully fold into batter.

6. Measure about 1/2 cup of the batter for each waffle, pour in to the middle of bottom layer in preheated waffle maker. Distribute batter properly and then leave an inch towards the sides prior to covering waffle maker.

7. Cook waffles, following manufacturer's directions.

8. Wait till waffles are done as indicated by indicator lights or timer on your waffle iron. Carefully open up the lid and remove waffles making use of a single chopstick.

9. Serve as one large segmented waffle or cut into 4 servings.

10. Shut lid when serving. Just after a single minute, waffle maker is going to be warm enough for yet another batch of waffles.

11. Repeat methods 6 through 10.
