So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

A Brief Introduction To Artificial Turf A.K.A Fake Grass

By Fernando Petite

Artificial turf, or artificial grass, has become more and more popular with the passing of each year.

Ever since it was introduced in the 1960s, artificial turf has had a growing following. While this kind of grass was once only found on sports fields, that has changed over the years. Now artificial lawn it is to be found in all sorts of applications, i.e. It is used for residential, recreational, and commercial areas.

You do not need to be a genius to figure out that there are some obvious benefits to choosing a fake grass lawn over a real one. Real grass dies and turns brown, but beside that, if you want your lawn to look beautiful no matter what the season, you will need to put in a lot of time and effort. In short, you do not need a lot of time, and you do not have to have the proverbial green thumb in order to have a lush, beautiful looking lawn. No matter which option you prefer, the fact of the matter is that both fake and real grass have certain advantages and disadvantages. Take a look at the pros and cons that come with lawn you choose, whether real or fake:

Fake Grass

Those who opt for fake lawns will always point out that they are cheaper to maintain and require less of your time. A fake lawn does not have to be mowed, watered, fertilized, and so on. Since you do not need to buy different products to maintain them, your fake lawn will cost less over time. However, there are other reasons to choose a fake lawn, other than that they cost less to maintain and take less time to look after. These artificial lawns are also great for those that are environmentally conscious. The great thing about them is that you do not need any kinds of chemicals or pesticides. Your drainage system will be perfect and the lawn will also dry much quicker. That means that it can be used and enjoyed much sooner than would be the case if the grass were real and wet. When used in stadiums and for sports fields, artificial turf is ideal, because the players are less likely to get injured due to the fact that the surface is even and consistent all over. As we can see, there are valid reasons to consider artificial grass.

In Favor Of The Real Thing

On the opposite side of the fence are those that choose natural grass instead, because installing it is usually considerably cheaper than installing artificial grass. Actually, to have artificial grass installed can be quite expensive. Also, do not think that a fake lawn does not require any kind of work to keep them looking their best. Sooner or later you will need to carry out repairs. What is more, fake lawns have to be cleaned periodically in order to remove any debris and to keep it looking nice. When used for sports fields, the fake turf has been known to get really warm in hot weather, which players complain about. Naturally, if the turf is too warm, the player's abilities are going to be affected.
