So This Is Christmas

Merry Christmas is such an infectious feeling I like to feel that way all year around.

So if you are visiting just before Christmas, just after Christmas or even here on Christmas day I am sure you will find something of interest for you and in the spirit of Christmas.

It may be said that Christmas is no longer a celebration but this must be spoken by people that have never had trouble closing their eyes on Christmas Eve in an expectation of what maybe left for them on the carpet under the tree.

I continue to look forward to the surprise on my Grandchild's faces to this day at Christmas events.

Sometimes Different Driving Conditions Calls for A Different ECU In Your Grand Cherokee

By Granderson Elliot

One of the most important components of a car's power train is the ECM. A perfect example of its significance is when the ECM determines the consumption of fuel by a Jeep Grand Cherokee. In addition, the fuel consumption also depends on several factors like the amount of air in the engine, placement of the throttle, and the transmission gear. Many experts call the ECU as the control center or a car's brain. So do keep in mind also that your Jeep Grand Cherokee ECM must be in good working order at all times.

Without the ECU or sometimes referred to as a computer or an ECU, your Jeep Grand Cherokee will not run well. Although manufacturers make these computers to last for a long time, you can still experience occasional troubles.

However, you can apply various ways to solve such troubles. In most cases, the root of the problem is the sensor, the certain part responsible for relaying information to the computer.

Another important part of the car that functions along with the car's computer is the airflow sensor. Its sensor functions as the gauge of air that flows into the engine, and then sends the information to the ECM.

Thus, you cannot expect the car to run smoothly if the airflow sensor is broken because it is highly possible that the ECU will provide the wrong amount of fuel to the engine.

When this happens, expect that you pay more for your fuel. Therefore, it is only right to know immediately what the problem is. The first thing that comes to mind is the ECM. Although most of the time correct, there are also times when the other components of the car act up. Thus, it is necessary that you double-check car components, especially those bought online.

Power surges can also harm other car parts, and that is why cars use fuses to protect other electronic parts from damages. Therefore, there is also a great possibility that fuse breakdowns cause occasional ECU problems. The fuse in a car looks exactly the same as those used in most homes, although the use of circuit breakers are more common these days.

The first thing that you must check when your ECM malfunctions is the fuse box. To locate the fuse accurately, you can check the Grand Caravan operator manual that comes with it, for the diagram of the car's fuse. In most cases, you can also find the diagram in the cover of the fuse box.

Aside from the factors mentioned above, the software of the ECU that makes it run can also be the cause of the problem. All programs can be corrupt, regardless of the use or application. The software of the ECU is not an exemption. Therefore, you can return the ECM to the dealer as they can determine the problem as well as find a solution to it.
